At its 2nd plenary meeting on 4 February 2005, the Economic and Social Council, having considered the proposed programme of work for 2005 and 2006, 7 approved the following provisional agenda and documentation for its substantive session of 2005:


9. Implementation of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples by the specialized agencies and the international institutions associated with the United Nations
