25. Mr. Khalil (Egypt), introducing draft resolution E/2010/L.31, said that Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Tunisia and Yemen had joined the sponsors. The draft text reflected many of the conclusions contained in the Secretary-General’s report on the impact of the Israeli occupation on the Palestinian people (E/2010/13-A/65/72) and was similar to resolution 2009/34 adopted the previous year, with some amendments in a number of the preambular paragraphs and in paragraphs 1, 2, 5, 10, 11, 14 and 15. Two new preambular paragraphs had also been added, as well as paragraph 2 bis. He announced an editorial change to the seventeenth preambular paragraph and briefly reviewed the operative portion of the draft resolution.
