RCS to distribute 10,000 food parcels in Gaza

The UAE Red Crescent Society has announced that it would distribute 10,000 parcels of food to the affected people in the Gaza Strip. Saleh Mohammed Al Mulla, Deputy Secretary General for Relief Affairs, said 5,000 food parcels had already been given to the needy population while preparations were on to distribute a similar quota.

'The food parcel programme is part of humanitarian operations being carried out by the RCS since years to assist the Palestinian people who are reeling under abject human circumstances due to the current events there,' he added.

'The RCS pays the humanitarian situation in Palestine proper attention and strives -through its programmes- to improve the living condition of the Palestinians,' he affirmed. 'The Palestinian humanitarian situation is still facing many challenges which require pooling of efforts. The RCS will do its best to meet basic needs of the Palestinians,' he said.
