Qatar Condemns the Israeli Arrest of Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister

The state of Qatar has condemned and denounced the arrest of the Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister Dr.Naseralddin Alshaer by the Israeli occupation troops, an official spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated to Qatar News Agency.

He added that the arrest of the Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister and the continuing detention of the speaker of the Palestinian National Assembly, other Palestinian parliamentarians, Ministers and members of municipal councils constitutes a flagrant violation of all international laws and conventions as well as bilateral agreements concluded by the Palestinian and Israeli sides and an ongoing attempt by Israel to undermine the institutions of the Palestinian National Authority with a view to creating a new reality leading to a new political vacuum in the Palestinian arena.

The official spokesman and exert pressure on Israel to immediately release the Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister, speaker of the National Assembly and other Palestinian Ministers, parliamentarians and officials in addition to taking necessary measures to protect the Palestinian people and their national constitutional institutions from repeated Israeli acts of aggression and enable such institutions to exercise normal role in the service of Palestinian people and their national goals.
