Of note this week

Gaza Strip:
The IDF killed ten Palestinians, including a 55-year-old woman, and injured 20 others (North Gaza, Central Gaza, Khan Younis and Rafah).
37 Qassams and 49 mortars were fired towards Israel, of which four Qassams and three mortars landed in the Gaza Strip. In addition, eight mortars were fired at IDF soldiers inside the Gaza Strip. No deaths or injuries were reported.
Although Sufa crossing was announced re-opened on 23 December for humanitarian and commercial commodities, it was only open on one day this week, allowing the entry of 24 truckloads, including 15 UNRWA truckloads, into the Gaza Strip.
Two groups of Palestinians, one group of 82 another of 120, were allowed to return to Gaza through Netzana and then Erez crossings on 31 December and 01 January, respectively. On 31 December, 700 Palestinian pilgrims were allowed to return to Gaza through Allenby and the Erez crossings.
IDF bulldozers levelled about 160 dunums of olive trees during an incursion east of Khan Younis.

West Bank:
The IDF killed one Palestinian in Beituniya (Ramallah) and injured six others (Hebron and Bethlehem).
Israeli settlers from Mattityahu settlement physically assaulted and injured three Palestinian men near Bil’in village (Ramallah).
Two Israeli men from the settlement of Kiryat Arba and one Palestinian were killed near the settlement of Telem in an exchange of fire. The circumstances surrounding the killings remain disputed. Subsequently, the IDF closed all entry points into Hebron City and Road 35 (Hebron).
Israeli settlers from the settlement of Efrat and El Azara set fire to a 700-year-old mosque located on Al Khader village lands near the settlements (Bethlehem).
The IDF uprooted 100 live trees and removed 650 metres of barbed wire from a land located north of Ar Rihiya village (Hebron).
Israeli citizens residing on the western side of the Barrier in the area of Deir Al ‘Asal village uprooted tens of olive trees belonging to Palestinians from the village (Hebron).
The IDF imposed 28 curfew hours on the Salfit and Hebron governorates.
62 flying checkpoints,113 IDF search operations and 85 arrests were reported.
