UNITED NATIONS CONCILIATION COMMISSION FOR PALESTINE

Letter dated 6 July 1949
addressed by Mr. Howard Wriggins, American
Friends Service Committee, to the Principal
Secretary of the Conciliation Commission,
enclosing statistics relating to Arab
refugees in the Gaza area

Dear Mr. Azcarate,

Enclosed please find the results of a preliminary occupational survey of Arab refugees in the Gaza area. You will note that this covers 12,000 refugees out of a total of 230,000.

I trust these figures will be of interest, and presume that these figures and more complete data will be available to your Technical Committee when it visits Gaza.

Sincerely yours,

(s) Howard Wriggins
