The United Nations Seminar on Assistance to the Palestinian People is taking place on 19 and 20 May 2016 at the 7A Odenplan Conference Centre in Stockholm, Sweden, organized under the auspices of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People. The theme of the Seminar will be “Agenda 2030: Paving the way toward a peaceful, independent and sustainable State of Palestine”.

By organising this event, the Committee wishes to review the challenges and constraints of implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals for the State of Palestine under the Israeli occupation. The Seminar will furthermore look at ways of building resilient and sustainable economic growth while addressing humanitarian needs. Long-term investment in youth and women as key to building a peaceful and inclusive society will also be discussed. Finally, experts will focus on the need to mobilise international solidarity and partnerships for development.
