The United Nations Palestinian Rights Committee convened the United Nations International Conference in Support of Israeli-Palestinian Peace at the United Nations Office at Geneva on 29 and 30 June.
Experienced peace negotiators, international experts including from Israel and the State of Palestine, as well as from the United Nations, civil society, and academics gathered at the Palais des Nations to discuss lessons learned from past initiatives related to the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and assessed recent initiatives by key actors. The Conference promoted a discussion of new ideas for a lasting solution to the conflict.
Nabeel Shaath, Representative of the State of Palestine, Fodé Seck, Chairman of the Committee, Michael Møller, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva, Miroslav Jenča, United Nations Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Ayman Odeh, Head of the Joint List in the Israeli Knesset; Gadi Baltiansky Director of the Geneva Initiative-Israel and others participated.

The Conference was open to the media accredited to the United Nations Office at Geneva and a press conference held on Wednesday 29 June.
